Pursuant to section 71 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Robin Hugh Scott, extend the state of local emergency declared at 10.50am on Monday 26 February 2024 for the Waiau Aparima Ward owing to the risk to life and property due to coastal erosion.

The state of local emergency is extended for seven days. It will take effect immediately from the time the initial declaration of state of emergency (or the last extension) was to expire.
