A compensation payment has been made to Brendon Douglas Forrest; Brendon Douglas Forrester in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (“Act”).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Brendon Douglas Forrest; Brendon Douglas Forrester to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Brendon Douglas Forrest; Brendon Douglas Forrester.

On 20 October 2023, $3,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Brendon Douglas Forrest; Brendon Douglas Forrester.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Brendon Douglas Forrest; Brendon Douglas Forrester until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Brendon Douglas Forrest; Brendon Douglas Forrester, in respect of an offence for which Brendon Douglas Forrest; Brendon Douglas Forrester was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Brendon Douglas Forrest; Brendon Douglas Forrester.

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
