Under the Reserves Act 1977, and by reason of an error made in the notice described subsequently, the Commissioner, and as Director Operations of the Department of Conservation, Whakatane, revokes the notice titled “Cancellation of the Vesting in the Opotiki Borough Council and Change of the Purpose of a Reserve to Recreation and Addition of the Reserve to Opotiki Domain”, dated the 17th day of December 1964 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 17 December 1964, No. 79, page 2343, and issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Declaring a Reserve Vested in Opotiki County to Have a Change of Purpose and be Managed as Part of the Opotiki Domain

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Commissioner and as Director Operations of the Department of Conservation, Whakatane, declares a reserve that vested in Opotiki County as successor to the Opotiki Town Board pursuant to the Public Reserves, Domains and National Parks Act 1928, on the 15th day of December 1964 to have had a change of purpose from a reserve for night soil purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes, and was then managed by the Council as Domain Board, part of the Opotiki Domain, subject to the provisions of the Act.
