Pursuant to section 12 of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004 (“Act”), the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title

This notice is the Notice Declaring Aquaculture Settlement Areas in Eastern Bay of Plenty (Bay of Plenty Region) for the Purposes of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004.

2. Commencement

This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. New Area Declared for Settlement Purposes

Under section 12(1) of the Act, the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries declares new Aquaculture Settlement Areas in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. The boundaries of the new Aquaculture Settlement Areas are represented by the coordinates set out below:

Aquaculture Settlement Area Notice – Eastern Bay of Plenty (Site 2).	4,000	The area enclosed by a line: Starting at 37°48.463′S and 177°24.504′E; then Proceeding in a north-easterly direction to a point at 37°45.956′S and 177°29.780′E; then Proceeding in a south-easterly direction to a point at 37°47.996′S and 177°31.319′E; then Proceeding in a south-westerly direction to a point at 37°50.495′S and 177°26.057′E; then Proceeding in a north-westerly direction to the starting point (at 37°48.463′S and 177°24.504′E).
Aquaculture Settlement Area Notice – Eastern Bay of Plenty (Site 2).	1,000	The area enclosed by a line: Starting at 37°41.395′S and 177°34.218′E; then Proceeding in a north-easterly direction to a point at 37°40.372′S and 177°35.837′E; then Proceeding in a south-easterly direction to a point at 37°41.659′S and 177°37.123′E; then Proceeding in a south-westerly direction to a point at 37°42.681′S and 177°35.504′E; then Proceeding in a north-westerly direction to the starting point (at 37°41.395′S and 177°34.218′E).
