Pursuant to section 29 of the Building Act 2004 (“Act”), I give notice of amendments to the following Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods:

• B1 Structure: B1/VM1, B1/AS1
• B2 Durability: B2/AS1
• G4 Ventilation: G4/AS1
• G12 Water supplies: G12/VM1, G12/AS1, G12/AS2
• G13 Foul water: G13/AS1, G13/VM2, G13/AS2, G13/AS3

New Verification Method Proposed to be Issues

Pursuant to section 29 of the Act, I give notice that for E2 External Moisture, Verification Method E2/VM2 is proposed to be issued.

New Material to be Incorporated by Reference

Pursuant to sections 409(2) of the Act, I give notice that the following materials are proposed to be incorporated by reference into the following Acceptable Solution and Verification Method:

Amendment to Material Incorporated by Reference

Pursuant to section 409(2) of the Act, I give notice of proposed amendments to material incorporated by reference into the following Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods. The material incorporated by reference in column 1 of the table below, is replaced by the material listed in column 2:

Material Proposed to Cease Having Legal Effect

Pursuant to section 408 of the Act, I give notice that the following material incorporated by reference is proposed to be revoked and to cease to having legal effect as follows:

Certain material incorporated by reference described above may be purchased directly from Standards New Zealand, MBIE, 15 Stout Street, Wellington 6011, or online at www.standards.govt.nz.

Hard copies of standards are not kept in stock for sale but may be ordered by following the directions online or by visiting MBIE’s Wellington office.

Availability of Remaining Material Incorporated by Reference

NASH Standard Part 2:2018, BRANZ Evaluation Method EM7:2018 and Worksafe New Zealand, Workplace Exposure Standards and Biological Exposure Indices 10 Edition November 2018 are available from links provided in the statement of proposal for the changes to the Acceptable Solutions and Verifications.

Viewing Material Incorporated by Reference

Material incorporated by reference is available for inspection free of charge at 15 Stout Street, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
