Pursuant to section 68 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Lianne Audrey Dalziel, declare that a state of local emergency exists in the Christchurch City and Selwyn District owing to the fire on the Port Hills and surrounding area.

This state of local emergency comes into force on the date of this declaration.

This state of local emergency expires at 6.00pm on 22 February 2017.
