Pursuant to sections 8(1) and 10(3) of the Research, Science, and Technology Act 2010, I amend the notice to the
Science Board titled "Investment Priorities for the 2014 Science Investment Round" published in the Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 6 December 2013, No. 163, page 4499, by:
- Deleting Clause 1.2 of Schedule 3 on page 4509 and substituting the following:
"The Science Board may allocate the following funding amounts from the Biological Industries Research Fund for proposals for funding in the 2014 science round:
(a) up to $3.3 million per annum (excl GST) across Enabling Technologies and Targeted Research, of which:
(i) up to $3 million per annum (excl GST) may be allocated to Enabling Technologies; and
(ii) up to $0.5 million per annum (excl GST) may be allocated to Targeted Research."
- Deleting the section titled "Investment Priority: Protection and Risk Management" under Clause 2 of Schedule 3 on page 4510, including the corresponding research question and indicative funding sections.
