Pursuant to sections 78 and 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (HSNO Act), the Environmental Protection Authority gives notice of its intention to apply for an approval to amend the code
of practice for Retail Fireworks: Design, Performance, Testing, Storage, Transport, Sale and Use.
The purpose of this code of practice, HSNOCOP 18-4, is
to provide a means of compliance with the Hazardous Substances (Fireworks) Regulations 2001.

Submissions close three weeks following the date of release.
