Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Protection Authority gives notice it intends to apply for approval of the amended code of practice:
HSNOCOP 44 Below ground stationary container systems for petroleum - design and installation
The purpose of this code of practice is to provide a means for the design and installation of below ground stationary container systems for petroleum.
It provides a practical means of compliance, with the requirements of Schedule 8 clause 33(a), 73(3)(a)(iii), 73(3)(b)(iii), 73(4)(b), 77, 81(1), 32, 34, 35, 35A, 36 and
77 of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods
and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004
(as amended).
