Pursuant to section 338(2) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court dated the 30th day of March 2009, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is to be set apart as a Maori reservation and included in the Owhetu Block (Tuatahi Wahitapu) Maori reservation.
The purpose of the reservation is a historical wahi tapu for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Tuatahi (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 15 June 2006, No. 57, page 1434).
