Notice of Exemption From Maritime Rules: 21.13(1)(b); 22, Appendix 1, section 3(4); 40A.18(2); 40A.18(3)(a); 40A.33(1)(e); 40A.56(1), Appendix 4.3; 40C.29(2)(e); 40C.55(b); 40D.11(1); 40E.50(1)(a), Appendix 3 section 4; 45.21(1)(ii); 46.17(1)(a)

Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:
- 5 from Maritime Rule 21.13(1)(b) - Safe Ship Management Systems - Entry to and conditions to be met in order for ship to remain in Safe Ship Management System - New Zealand Safe Ship Management Certificate issued by director
- 1 from Maritime Rule 22, Appendix 1, section 3(4) - Collision Prevention - Positioning and technical details of lights and shapes - Horizontal positioning and spacing of lights - Masthead light exhibited forward amidships
- 1 from Maritime Rule 40A.18(2) - Design, Construction and Equipment - Passenger Ships which are not SOLAS Ships - Passenger accommodation - Seating - 450mm of seating must be allowed for each person
- 1 from Maritime Rule 40A.18(3)(a) - Design, Construction and Equipment - Passenger Ships which are not SOLAS Ships - Passenger accommodation - Seating - fixed seating installed must provide for ready escape with passageways between fixed seating not less than 750mm wide if passageway is more than 4.5 metres in length
- 1 from Maritime Rule 40A.33(1)(e) - Design, Construction and Equipment - Passenger Ships which are not SOLAS Ships - Machinery - Petrol inboard and outboard engines - ship may be fitted with an inboard petrol engine if not more than 12 passengers are carried
