Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Risk Management Authority New Zealand ("ERMA
New Zealand") advises that it approved on 23 June 2011,
the code of practice "The Control and Safe Use of Fumigants, Version 2.0, Parts 1 and 2".
This code has been developed by the Pest Management Association of New Zealand Incorporated.
Parts 1 and 2 set out a means of compliance with the requirements of the Hazardous Substances (Fumigants) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended) and incorporate the changes to the controls on methyl bromide that came into effect in May 2011 (HRC08002).
Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, this code may be inspected on request at the Wellington office of ERMA New Zealand, Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.
