Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator of
the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department
of Conservation, declares that the lands described in
the Schedule are held for conservation purposes and
further declares that the conservation areas described in
the Schedule shall be set apart as reserves, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as recreation reserves subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and further,
under the Reserves Act 1977, appoints existing Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve Board (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 24 February 2005, No. 41, page 1067) to control and manage the reserve for recreation purposes.
