Pursuant to Regulation 6 of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999, I, Richard Steel, in exercise of the powers delegated in me by the Secretary of
Labour, hereby give notice of exemption from these Regulations in their entirety to a 450mm diameter pipeline between Shell Todd Paritutu Tank Farm (New Plymouth) and Newton King Wharf (Port Taranaki), subject to the following conditions.
The conditions are:
1. The affected pipeline extends between the following physical end points (given in terms of NZTM 2000):
Point 1: Northing 5675955.51
Easting 1688727.40
Point 2: Northing 5676416.28
Easting 1689392.80
2. The affected pipeline shall have all duties in relation to it including design, construction, operation, maintenance and inspection carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pipelines) Regulations 1999 (notwithstanding (c)(iii) of the definition of “Pipeline” in those Regulations).
