Pursuant to section 95 of the Education Act 1989, I publish the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. (1) This notice may be cited as The Correspondence School Board of Trustees Notice 2009.
(2) This notice shall take effect on 1 May 2009.
2. The Correspondence School Board of Trustees shall be constituted as follows:
(a) A chairperson appointed by the Minister of Education; and
(b) up to eight members appointed by the Minister of Education; and
(c) a staff representative elected in accordance with sections 97(1) and 101 of the Education Act 1989.
3. The appointment of a trustee may be for a term not exceeding three years.
4. The Correspondence School Board of Trustees Notice (No. 2) 2004 published in the New Zealand Gazette,
30 September 2004, No. 127, page 3116, is revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice allows the Minister to appoint up to nine trustees including the board chairperson. It is intended that at least two of these trustees will be appointed parent representatives from the school community.
