Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the conservation area described in the Schedule shall be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a local purpose (soil conservation, river control, recreation and heritage) reserve, subject to the provisions of the latter Act.
