Pursuant to Regulation 6 of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999, I, Andrew Kear, in exercise of the powers delegated in me by the Secretary of Labour, hereby give notice of exemption from these Regulations in their entirety to part of a pipeline between Omata Tank Farm and Port Taranaki, subject to the following conditions.
The conditions are:
1. The affected part of the pipeline, currently subject to Origin Energy project 9487, is that indicated between points X and Y of Origin drawing 0F0401-DWG-90-
A-0003 revision 1, and includes the proposed future PIG launcher and PIG receiver. The physical end points in terms of NZTM 2000 are:
Point X: Northing 5674253.18
Easting 1688046.39
Point Y: Northing 5676463.90
Easting 1689510.54
2. The affected pipeline shall have all duties in relation to it including design, construction, operation, maintenance and inspection carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pipelines) Regulations 1999 (notwithstanding (c)(iii) of the definition of “Pipeline” in those regulations).
