Pursuant to section 78M(6) of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 22 February 2007, No. 20, page 399, directing the Secretary for Education to appoint two limited statutory managers for the Rotorua Primary School Board of Trustees.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in a remaining limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
- board organisation and management; and
- ensuring areas for improvement identified in the current and any future Education Review Office reports are implemented.
A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:
- Strategic planning and self-review;
- curriculum and assessment practice; and
- consolidating all new and improved systems into board management practice.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
