Notice of Intention to Take Land for Education Purposes—Gore Street, Seatoun, Wellington

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
The land is required for education purposes.
It is intended to use the land for access to Seatoun School.
The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary for the safe and convenient access to the school and is the only available access to the school from Gore Street.
The owners of the land as far as they can be identified and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take the land and advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send
a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, P.O. Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing will be held.
The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires.
Each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

All that piece of land containing 11 square metres, being Section 1, SO 356189, contained in Crown grant 3681, recorded in the Deeds Registry as 18/167, Wellington Land Registry on SO 356189, lodged with a Land Information New Zealand Processing Centre.
A copy of the plan may also be seen at Land Information New Zealand, Eleventh Floor, Lambton House, 160 Lambton Quay, Wellington, during normal office hours.
The land to be taken is formed as access way and is situated across the entrance to Seatoun School in Gore Street, Seatoun, Wellington.
