Notice Stating Where Material Proposed to be Incorporated by Reference is Available for Inspection and Purchase

Under section 409 (2) (d) of the Building Act 2004, I give notice that the following materials are proposed to be incorporated by reference into an Order in Council made under section 285 of the Building Act 2004, designating classes of licences that may be issued to persons who carry out building work:
NZS 3604:1999 (Incorporating Amendments No. 1 and 2) “Timber Framed Buildings”
NZS 4229:1999 (Incorporating Amendment No. 1) “Concrete Masonry Buildings Not Requiring Specific Engineering Design”
Table 3.2: Importance levels for building types –
New Zealand structures from AS/NZS 1170.0:2002 (Incorporating Amendment No. 2)
(collectively referred to as “the material” in this notice).
Availability of material for inspection or purchase
The material is available for inspection free of charge
at the Department of Building and Housing, Level Six,
86 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, during the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday, from the date
of publication of this notice until Thursday, 25 January
2007 (except for the period 25 December 2006 to
2 January 2007 inclusive).
Copies of the material may also be purchased from Standards New Zealand, Radio New Zealand House,
Level Ten, 155 The Terrace, Wellington, or from:
