Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Mangakahia Area School Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school in relation to the He Mataariki School for Teen Parents.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board
are vested in a limited statutory manager in relation to the He Mataariki School for Teen Parents:
? All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage the operations of the He Mataariki School for Teen Parents (whether statutory or otherwise);
? all functions, powers and duties of the board for financial management of the He Mataariki School for Teen Parents (whether statutory or otherwise); and
? all functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer in relation to the He Mataariki School for Teen Parents (whether statutory or otherwise).
The following condition applies to the exercising of the powers by the limited statutory manager:
? All staff appointments must be made in consultation with the Board of Trustees of Mangakahia Area School.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
