In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982
Pursuant to section 119 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that on 6 March 2003, the
New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows:
1. That, pursuant to section 113 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, the name of Dinesh Dahyabhai Patel be struck off the Roll of Barristers and Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand.
2. That, pursuant to section 111 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, the names of all persons or institutions mentioned in the charges are suppressed.
3. That the practitioner pay to the New Zealand Law Society the sum of $12,482.25 in respect of the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the tribunal.
4. That the practitioner pay to the Auckland District Law Society the sum of $10,818.00 being the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the district council or its complaints committee.
