Act 1996
Pursuant to section 35 of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996, I, Bruce Maroc, Acting Director of Maritime Safety, acting under delegated authority, hereby approve the following equipment as approved maritime surveillance equipment for the purposes of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996.
Approved Maritime Surveillance Equipment
(a) Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 digital camera, serial number K4SF01587, when operated on a Cook Strait CPZ Patrol vessel for the purposes of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996.
(b) Panasonic NV-GS15GC digital video camera, serial number L4SA12796, when operated on a Cook Strait CPZ Patrol vessel or a HELiPRO helicopter, for the purposes of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996.
This notice comes into effect on 11 March 2005.
