The Board of Skill New Zealand - Pukenga Aotearoa, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, approved the extension of the existing coverage of the Forest Industries Training and Education Council to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for Biosecurity (Border Quarantine), covering Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Service staff engaged in border quarantine activities including international cargo clearances, international vessel clearances, international aircraft clearances and international mail clearances, effective from 31 October 2002.
