Pursuant to section 80 of the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993, I, The Honourable Dame Silvia Cartwright, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, acting with the concurrence of the Minister of Women's Affairs and the Minister of Justice, hereby appoint
William Kenneth Hastings
to be the Chief Censor of Film and Literature for a period of one year commencing on 18 October 2002.
