Under the Land Act 1948, the Conservator of the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation sets apart the land described in the Schedule as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977.

183.2230 hectares, more or less, being Section 4, S.O. 24769, Part Document 5061479.8. Subject to a grazing permit for a term of 10 years commencing on 20 July 2001 between
Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Commissioner of Crown Lands, and Geoffrey Russell Brown and Joyce May Brown, a copy of which may be inspected at the offices of the Department of Conservation at Dunedin.
