Cessation of Countervailing Duties on Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce From Italy

The Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development gives notice that, in terms of section 14 (9) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 ("the Act"), countervailing duties on spaghetti in tomato sauce in retail size cans from Italy ceased to be payable with effect from 7 September 2001.
The countervailing duties ceased to be payable on that date, because at that date, the goods were not subject to review under section 14 (8) of the Act and 5 years had passed since the date of the final determination* by the Minister of Commerce that the goods were being subsidised and were causing material injury to the New Zealand industry.
Dated at Wellington this 10th day of September 2001.
ANNE CORRIGAN, Acting Manager, Trade Remedies Group.
