Pursuant to section 124 (1) (d) of the Social Security Act 1964, I, Steve Maharey, Minister of Social Services and Employment, establish and approve the following amendments to the Telephone Costs Payment welfare programme (as established and approved on 28 March 1999), which are to be read with and considered part of the programme on and from 1 April 2000.

A m e n d m e n t s
1. Clause 6.1 of the programme is amended by inserting, after the words "continues to receive a Disability Allowance", the words "or a payment under the Disability Assistance Programme under section 124 (1) (d) of the Act".
2. Clause 7.2 (a) of the programme is amended by inserting, after the words "section 69C (2A) (a) of the Act", the words "or ceases to be eligible to receive a payment under the Disability Assistance Programme".
