Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Government Purpose (Wildlife Management) Reserve and Appointment of Fish and Game New Zealand to Control and Manage Pursuant to section 7 (1a) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator, Canterbury, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes, and further, pursuant to section 8 (1a) of the Act, declares that the said land shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve, subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977, and pursuant to the provisions of the latter Act classifies the reserve as a Government Purpose (Wildlife Management) Reserve, and appoints Fish and Game New Zealand to control and manage the said reserve, subject to a condition that a joint management committee be formed, comprising 2 members each from Arowhenua Runanga and the aforementioned Fish and Game New Zealand, to make future decisions on the subject land.
