Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle Pursuant to Section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985 CRN: 90796560 On the 29th day of September 1999 at the District Court at Waihi, Lance Peter Tamihere of Mataora Bay, S.H. 25, Waihi, was convicted and sentenced and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver's licence for 12 months from 27 March 2000 following his conviction on 29 September 1999, for driving while disqualified having been convicted of driving while disqualified on 2 previous occasions and in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge Laing has ordered that a Ford motor vehicle, registration No. NJ 9172 be forfeited to Her Majesty, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985. The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, or a Bailiff of the District Court, by 4.00 p.m. on the 29th day of September 1999. Note: Any person whose motor vehicle is subject to a confiscation order shall not within 12 months after the date of order acquire any interest in any other motor vehicle. Every person who acquires any interest in any motor vehicle is in contravention of section 85 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985 commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.00, or instead of, or in addition to imposing a fine the Court may order the confiscation of the motor vehicle concerned.
