Jennifer Shipley presiding in council Pursuant to section 37zzzi of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order. O r d e r 1. Title and commencement (1) This order may be cited as the Local Government (Wainono Drainage District) Reorganisation Order 1998. (2) This order shall come into force on 12 October 1998. 2. Transfer of functions The functions, duties and powers of The Waimate District Council relating to The Wainono Drainage District are transferred to The Canterbury Regional Council. 3. Transitional provisions The provisions of Part 2 of Schedule 3B of the Local Government Act 1974 shall apply to this order, unless the context otherwise requires.
