Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation. Schedule Nature of exemptions granted: Docket 97/EXE/21, to Invercargill Holdings Limited on the 26th day of November 1997. Exempt being the applicant for the grant of a standard category airworthiness certificate for an imported Cessna TU206G, serial No. 4075, from the requirement of Civil Aviation Rule 21.191 (a) (2) (ii) to provide the director with evidence that a statement of conformity has been issued by, or in accordance with the rules of the airworthiness authority of the exporting country. Docket 97/EXE/42, to Helicopters (NZ) Limited on the 10th day of December 1997. Exempt being the applicant for the grant of a standard category airworthiness certificate for an imported Eurocopter AS350B2 helicopter, serial No. 2463. New Zealand registration KZ-HNZ, from the requirement of Civil Aviation Rule 21.191 (a) (2) (ii) to provide the director with evidence that a statement of conformity has been issued by, or in accordance with the rules of the airworthiness authority of the exporting country. Exempt from the requirement that an aircraft have a minimum equipment list approved in accordance with 91.539 if that aircraft is to be flown with inoperative instruments or equipment. Exempt pilots employed, engaged, or otherwise contracted by Mainland Air Services Limited from the requirement of Civil Aviation Rules (a) 43.51 (a) that no person shall perform maintenance on an aircraft or aircraft component unless that person meets one of the requirements of rule 43.51 (a) (1), (2), (3), or (4); and (b) 43.101 (a) that no person shall certify an aircraft or aircraft component for release to service after maintenance unless that person meets one of the requirements of rule 43.101 (a) (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), or (6). Exempt pilots employed, engaged, or otherwise contracted by Otago Aero Club (Inc) from the requirement of Civil Aviation Rules (a) 43.51 (a) that no person shall perform maintenance on an aircraft or aircraft component unless that person meets one of the requirements of rule 43.51 (a) (1), (2), (3), or (4); and (b) 43.101 (a) that no person shall certify an aircraft or aircraft component for release to service after maintenance unless that person meets one of the requirements of rule 43.101 (a) (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), or (6). Exempt each person who operates a helicopter under VFR by day carrying passengers for hire or reward over water beyond autorotation distance from land, where that helicopter is not capable of complying with the performance requirements in 19.107 (a) from the requirement to ensure the helicopter is operated in such a way that, following the failure of an engine at any stage in flight, the flight is capable of continuing, maintaining 1000 ft terrain clearance, to a suitable area in accordance with that helicopter's flight manual requirements for a one engine inoperative landing.
