Notice of Review of Need for Continued Imposition of Countervailing Duty on Canned Apricots From South Africa I hereby give notice that, pursuant to sections 14 (8) and 15 (7) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I have initiated a review of the need for the continued imposition of countervailing duty on the goods described in the Schedule to this notice and of the price undertakings accepted from Langeberg Foods International and Ashton Canning Co (Pty) Limited in relation to those goods. The duty was imposed by the Minister of Commerce in a notice dated 9 May 1997, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 15 May 1997. The undertakings were accepted by the Minister of Commerce in a notice dated 25 March 1997, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 3 April 1997. Schedule Goods Subject to Review Country of Origin South Africa. Description of Goods Canned apricots, packed (as apricot halves) in various concentrations of sugar syrup and in can sizes up to A10 (nominal size 3 kilograms). The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 2008.50.09 00C of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.
