Changes in American Express Operations in New Zealand With effect from 1 October 1997, all of the business previously carried on by American Express International Inc has been transferred to a new company called American Express International (NZ), Inc. It has taken over responsibility for all of its American Express International Inc's obligations in New Zealand. This step has been necessitated as a result of financial reporting requirements in New Zealand. As a result American Express International Inc will cease to carry on business in New Zealand with effect from 31 December 1997. This notice is given under section 341 of the Companies Act 1993.
