Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation. Schedule Nature of exemptions granted: Docket 98/EXE/29, to C & J Trading on the 30th day of October 1997. Exempt C & J Trading, being the applicant for the grant of a standard category airworthiness certificate for an imported Robinson R22B helicopter, serial No. 0487, from the requirement of Civil Aviation Rule 21.191 (a) (2) (ii) to provide the director with evidence that a statement of conformity has been issued by, or in accordance with the rules of the airworthiness authority of the exporting country. Docket 98/EXE/53, to Straits Air Charter (1996) Limited on the 4th day of November 1997. Exempt pilots employed, engaged, or otherwise contracted by Straits Air Charter Limited from the requirement of Civil Aviation Rules (a) 43.51 (a) that no person shall perform maintenance on an aircraft or aircraft component unless that person meets one of the requirements of rule 43.51 (a) (1), (2), (3), or (4); and (b) 43.101 (a) that no person shall certify an aircraft or aircraft component for release to service after maintenance unless that person meets one of the requirements of rule 43.101 (a) (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), or (6). Exempt from requirement contained in Appendix A of Part 146 regarding the qualifications and experience required for, and the privileges and limitations associated with, the grant of a delegation, in accordance with section 23b of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, for the approval of design changes. Docket 98/EXE/58, to Alpine Fighter Collection (AFC) on the day of October 1997. Exempt from requirement to display registration markings in accordance with Part 47.101 (a) with respect to the following aircraft: JIN, JIO, JIP, JIQ and JIR.
