Notice of Intention to Consider Amending an International Air Service Licence Pursuant to section 87j (3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that, having received an application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport intends to consider amending the international air service licence held by that airline to increase its capacity: (i) in respect of services to Japan, optionally via Brisbane to Osaka, from up to the equivalent of 4 return B747 services per week, to up to the equivalent of 5 return B747 services per week, with effect from 1 November 1996; (ii) in respect of services to Korea, optionally via Nadi and up to 2 points in Australia, to Seoul, from up to the equivalent of 5 return B767 services per week, to up to the equivalent of 6 return B767 services per week, with effect from 1 November 1996; and (iii) in respect of services beyond Australia, from up to the equivalent of 11 return B747 services per week, to up to the equivalent of 12 return B747 services per week, with effect from 1 November 1996. This notice supersedes the notices of Air New Zealand's applications in respect of Hong Kong, Osaka, Seoul, Bangkok and Shanghai published in the New Zealand Gazette of 14 March 1996 and 11 April 1996.
