Rules of Casino Table Games for the Christchurch Casino, Amendment No. 1 Pursuant to section 63 of the Casino Control Act 1990, the Casino Control Authority on 12 September 1995 resolved that Division VIII of the Rules of Casino Table Games approved to be conducted and played in the licensed casino at 3038 Victoria Street, Christchurch, as set out in the Supplement dated Monday, 31 October 1994 to the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday, 27 October 1994, be amended as set out below. 1.0 Commencement These amendments shall come into force on the date of their notification in the New Zealand Gazette. 2.0 Table Layout and Equipment 2.1 Rule 2.3 of this division is hereby amended by omitting sub-paragraph (c) and substituting the following: ``(c) for wagers on the Progressive Jackpot by either: (i) when the Progressive Jackpot is being operated electronically, the slots provided for such wagers, or (ii) when the Progressive Jackpot is being operated manually, the areas designated for such wagers as shown in Diagram 11.'' 2.2 Rule 2.4 of this division is hereby omitted and the following rule substituted: ``2.4 When the Progressive Jackpot is being operated electronically, the Caribbean Stud Poker table shall be fitted with electronic equipment which: (a) shall be programmed to record the amounts wagered at the table on the Progressive Jackpot, and the amount of the jackpot prize pool applicable to the table; (b) shall be linked to one or more progressive meters, being electronic jackpot displays, which shall display the amount of the jackpot prize pool applicable to the table; and (c) shall include a coin indicator light at each Progressive Jackpot slot which shall light up to indicate that a wager on the Progressive Jackpot has been deposited in the slot. The electronic equipment and the progressive meter(s) shall each be of a type approved by the Authority, contain components necessary for the performance of their respective functions, and comply with the applicable provisions of Division IV of the Rules of Casino Keno and Gaming Machines, as amended from time to time, approved for use in the casino and set out in the Supplement dated Tuesday, 1 November 1994 to the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday, 27 October 1994.'' 2.3 Rule 2.5 of this division is hereby amended by: (a) inserting at the end of sub-paragraph (b), after the words ``Diagram 11;'', the word ``and''; (b) omitting from the end of sub-paragraph (c), after the words ``the chips;'', the word ``and''; and (c) omitting sub-paragraph (d). 3.0 Diagram 11 Caribbean Stud Poker Table Layout Diagram 11 of the rules is hereby amended by adding, after the words ``PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT SLOT'', the words ``/WAGERING AREA''. 4.0 Wagers 4.1 Rule 4.2 of this division is hereby amended by adding, after the words ``the slot provided on the table'', the words ``or on the designated area in accordance with sub-paragraph (c) of rule 2.3''. 4.2 Rule 4.3 of this division is hereby amended by inserting, before the words ``Once a chip'', the words ``When the Progressive Jackpot is being operated electronically,''. 4.1 Rule 4.8 of this division is hereby amended by adding, after the words ``the slot provided'', the words ``or on the designated area in accordance with sub-paragraph (c) of rule 2.3''. 5.0 Betting Round Rule 8.2 is hereby amended by omitting sub-paragraphs (a) to (e) inclusive and substituting the following: ``(a) when the Progressive Jackpot is being operated manually, collect the Progressive Jackpot wager if one has been made; (b) collect the ante wager; (c) collect the cards dealt to that player; (d) individually spread out the cards, face down; (e) count the number of cards; and (f) place the cards in the discard rack.'' 6.0 Final Settlement 6.1 Rule 9.7 of this division is hereby amended by omitting sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) and substituting the following: ``(a) when the Progressive Jackpot is being operated manually, collect the Progressive Jackpot wager, if one has been made, unless the hand qualifies for a Progressive Jackpot; (b) collect both the ante and the bet wagers on the hand; and (c) subject to rule 9.3, collect and count the player's cards as described in rule 8.2.'' 6.2 Rule 9.8 of this division is hereby amended by omitting sub-paragraphs (a) to (c) inclusive and substituting the following: ``(a) when the Progressive Jackpot is being operated manually, collect the Progressive Jackpot wager, if one has been made, unless the hand qualifies for a Progressive Jackpot; (b) pay the ante wager at odds of one to one; (c) pay the bet wager at the odds set out in rule 10; and (d) subject to rule 9.3, collect and count the player's cards as described in rule 8.2.'' 7.0 Progressive Jackpot 7.1 Rule 11.4 of this division is hereby amended by inserting, before the words ``Players wagering'', the words ``When the Progressive Jackpot is being operated electronically,''. 7.2 Rule 11.7 of this division is hereby amended by adding the following sentence: ``When the Progressive Jackpot is being operated manually, and a hand qualifies for a jackpot payout, the wager on the jackpot shall be collected after the payout has been made.'' 8.0 Progressive Jackpot Payouts Rule 12.0 of this division is hereby amended by omitting, from sub-paragraphs (a) and (b), the word ``displayed''.
