Preliminary Determination: Aluminium Foil Rolls From Indonesia Pursuant to section 12 (1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I, Philip Burdon, Minister of Commerce, hereby give notice that I have made a preliminary determination on the basis of the information made available to date during the investigation, that there is reasonable cause to believe that aluminium foil rolls of a kind described in the Schedule to this notice, and imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand, are goods in respect of which I may direct the imposition of an anti-dumping duty in accordance with section 14 of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988. Schedule Country of Origin Indonesia. Description of Goods Subject to Investigation Aluminium foil in rolls, of a size not exceeding 20 microns in thickness, 600 mm in width and 25 metres in length, packaged for retail sale, but excluding: foil backed with paper, paperboard, plastics or similar backing materials; and foil lacquered or printed. The goods are currently classified under Tariff Items and Statistical Keys 7607.11.00.01A, 7607.11.00.08J, 7607.11.00.21F, 7607.19.00.01H, 7607.19.00.08E and 7607.19.00.21B of the Tariff of New Zealand. The Tariff Items and Statistical Keys are provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive. Dated at Wellington this 10th day of October 1994. The effect of this notice is to continue for up to a further 90 days the investigation into the dumping of aluminium foil rolls from Indonesia, so a final determination can be made. Provisional duties have not been imposed.
