Under section 198(1) and (3) of the Education and Training Act 2020, I hereby declare that Te Kura o Te Moutere o Matakana, will become a Year 1–10 composite school on 2 May 2022 and cease to be a Year 1–8 primary school on that day.

Pursuant to sections 200, 204 and 205 of the Education and Training Act 2020, I hereby designate Te Kura o Te Moutere o Matakana (1811) as a designated character school, kura-ā-iwi. This designation will take effect from 2 May 2022.

Te Kura o Te Moutere o Matakana will operate in accordance with section 204 of the Education and Training Act 2020.

The constitution of the board of Te Kura o Te Moutere o Matakana shall not be changed by this notice.
