Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Samuel Timothy Doak Broughton, give notice of an extension of the local transition period over the areas of the Selwyn district owing to the May–June 2021 flooding event across the region.

This transition period—

1. comes into force immediately before 4.30pm on 4 August 2021, which is when the current transition period ends;
2. is in force for a period of 28 days;
3. ends at 4.30pm on 3 September 2021, unless extended or terminated earlier.

Time and Date of Notice: 3.05pm on Tuesday 3 August 2021.
