This notice is made under clauses 5, 6 and 7 of the Biosecurity (Border Processing Levy) Order 2015 by the Deputy Director-General Biosecurity New Zealand, within the Ministry for Primary Industries.

Levy Period Commencing 1 December 2021

I have determined that the next levy period under clause 5 of the Biosecurity (Border Processing Levy) Order 2015 will be three years, commencing on 1 December 2021 and ending on the close of 30 November 2024.

Levy Rates for this Period

Under clauses 5, 6 and 7 of the Biosecurity (Border Processing Levy) Order 2015, the levy rates for this levy period are:

1. $10.58 for a traveller who arrives in New Zealand on a cruise ship: and
2. $16.92 for all other travellers who arrive in New Zealand.

These levy rates are exclusive of goods and services tax.
