Pursuant to section 170(3) of the Education and Training Act 2020 and acting with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby extend the period for closing nominations and all subsequent actions required by the Education (Board Elections) Regulations 2000, for schools which meet the conditions below.

This extension applies to the election of a student representative for all schools required to hold an election for a student representative; and

• the election has been affected by COVID-19 alert levels; and
• the school is inside the Alert Level 3 area as described in the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order (No 12) 2021; and
• the school requires an extension.

The call for nominations must be completed by Friday 18 February 2022.

The close of nominations for these elections will now be noon on Friday 11 March 2022 and voting for the elections will now close at 4.00pm on Wednesday 13 April 2022.

This notice takes effect the day of its publication.
