Pursuant to section 68 of the Education and Training Act 2020, and acting under the delegated authority of the Minister of Education, I hereby fix the following additional enrolment criteria for Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu.
This policy comes into effect on 1 November 2021.
Introduction
This document sets out the criteria for additional government-funded dual-tuition access at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu in order to provide education support for students in Auckland impacted by COVID-19.

This gateway is to enable Ministry of Education Auckland Office staff to refer Year 9-15 students who are disengaged from education (i.e. displaying chronic non-attendance or low attendance) for registration in Big Picture. Referred students must: be enrolled in schools within the boundaries of Auckland as determined by the Local Government (Auckland Boundaries) Determination 2010. This gateway is available for Terms 1 and 2 2022 only and has a limit of 300 students. |
