Notice Under Clause 19A(4) of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order (No 11) 2021

Pursuant to clause 19A(4) of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order (No 11) 2021 (“Order”), I, as the Director-General of Health, hereby specify the following examination or test for COVID-19 to be an applicable COVID-19 test for the purposes of clauses 19A and 19B of the Order:

  • testing for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) viral ribonucleic acid using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) or transcription-mediated amplification (TMA) on a sample collected by taking nasopharyngeal swabs, oropharyngeal and anterior nasal swabs, or saliva and which is undertaken in accordance with a laboratory’s accreditation to ISO15189
