Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Samuel Timothy Doak Broughton, give notice of a local transition period over the areas of the Selwyn district owing to the May–June 2021 flooding event across the region.

This transition period—

1. comes into force at the time and date that this notice is given;
2. is in force for a period of 28 days; and
3. ends at 4.30 pm on 8 July, unless extended or terminated earlier.

Time and Date of Notice: 4.30pm on Thursday 10 June 2021.
