Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Neil Brown, give notice of a local transition period over the areas of the Ashburton District owing to the severe flooding across the region.

This transition period—

1. comes into force when the state of emergency declared on 30 May 2021 at 4.45pm for the Canterbury CDEM Group area, which was extended for a period of seven days from 4.00pm on 3 June 2021 for the area of the Ashburton District Council expires. For the avoidance of doubt, the state of emergency for the area of the Ashburton District expires at 4.00pm on 10 June 2021.
2. is in force for 28 days.
