Schedule 1

M1-1.3 Pedestrian Crossing Marking (New Format)

Colour: white (reflectorised)

M1-1.2 Pedestrian Crossing Marking (Interim Format)

Pedestrian crossing markings (interim format) 450mm x 450 mm

Colour: white (reflectorised)

All measurements are shown in millimetres, unless otherwise indicated.

Signed at Wellington this 12th day of January 2021.

GLENN BUNTING, Manager Network Safety, Waka Kotahi.

Note: Marking M1-1.3 harmonises New Zealand with Australian practice for marking pedestrian crossings using alternate 600mm dimensions. This should be installed at all new crossing installations or after maintenance work that requires new road markings.

As an interim marking M1-1.2 may be introduced by amending marking M1-4 through the addition to the marking stripe width by 150mm and thereby reducing the gap by the corresponding amount.
