Notification of Exemptions From Land Transport Rules

Pursuant to section 166(3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, the NZ Transport Agency gives notice that the following exemptions from the stated Land Transport Rules were granted under section 166(1) of that Act:

Land Transport Rule: Heavy-vehicle Brakes 2006 (Rule 32015)

Clause 7.3(5)—A towing vehicle and a towed vehicle in 7.3(1) must be fitted with a coupling device, approved under 10.6(3), to connect the brake to, and disconnect it from, that of the other vehicle, and that device must meet the set out general requirements.
