Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, and the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2017, the NZ Transport Agency hereby makes the following bylaw.

Bylaw

1. Title and Commencement—This bylaw is the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2020/16 and will come into force on and from 18 December 2020.

2. Amendments—The New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10* is hereby amended by:

• Amending line 601A in Schedule 1 to read:
  “Line No.: 601A
  Region: 7
  SH No.: 3
  Locality: Waitara
  Section of State Highway: From 400m north-east of Princess Street to 440m south-west of Princess Street.
  Speed Limit (km/h): 80
  Date revoked: 18/12/2020
  Speed Limit Rule: Setting of Speed Limits Rule 2017
  New Zealand Gazette Reference: 20/11/2020, Notice No. 2020-au5268”
• Amending line 601B in Schedule 1 to read:
  “Line No.: 601B

  Section of State Highway: From 235m north-east of Mahoetahi Road to 225m south west of Mangati Road.
  Speed Limit (km/h): 80
  Date revoked: 18/12/2020

• Inserting line 601A(1) in Schedule 1 to read:

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the bylaw, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This bylaw, which comes into force on and from 18 December 2020, amends the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10.
