Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, and the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2017, the NZ Transport Agency hereby makes the following bylaw.

Bylaw

1. Title and Commencement—This bylaw is the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2020/2 and will come into force on and from 24 August 2020.

2. Amendments—The New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10* is hereby amended by:

• Inserting line 85AA in Schedule 1 to read:

  “Line No.: 85AA
  Region: 2
  SH No.: 16
  Locality: Kaukapakapa School Zone
  Section of State Highway: From NZTM2000 1733849, 5946373, approximately 190m south east of Opoto Place to NZTM2000 1733592, 5946610, approximately 160m north west of Opoto Place.
  Speed Limit (km/h): see Schedule 2
  Effective date: 24/8/2020
  Speed Limit Rule: Setting of Speed Limits Rule 2017
  New Zealand Gazette Reference: 24/0720, Notice No. 2020-au2927

• Inserting line 85AA in Schedule 2 to read:

  “Line No.: 85AA
  Region: 2
  SH No.: 16
  Locality: Kaukapakapa School Zone
  Section of State Highway: From NZTM2000 1733849, 5946373, approximately 190m south east of Opoto Place to NZTM2000 1733592, 5946610, approximately 160m north west of Opoto Place.
  Speed Limit (km/h): Any time during any period specified in condition 2 of the School Zones Notice when a variable speed limit sign installed on the section of State highway displays the numerals “40”, the speed limit is 40 km/h. At all other times the speed limit is 50 km/h.

This note is not part of the bylaw, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This bylaw, which comes into force on and from 24 August 2020, amends the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10.
